Group therapy is a special format in which individuals can observe and practice social communication skills among age-level peers. Dr. Araujo has training and experience in implementing evidence -based curriculums (e.g. PEERS ® for Young Adults, Facing Your Fears ®) as well as other social skill groups. Groups are offered variably depending on referrals.

Many high-functioning individuals are diagnosed with autism later in life — not because symptoms are new, but because they went unrecognized. A comprehensive evaluation examines functioning across work, relationships, and executive functioning skills, and can assess for co-occurring conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, or mood disorders.
Dr. Araujo has been identifying autism in females and complex cases long before the field widely recognized that autism presents differently across genders, or those impacted by trauma— and brings that same nuanced lens to anyone whose symptoms don't fit the traditional diagnostic picture.

The high school years are a critical time for post secondary planning for individuals with learning disabilites or autism spectrum disorders. Brief or more comprehensive assessment can support educational planning, as well as identifying accommodations for work or college settings.
